Responsibilities
The candidate will be assigned to work within any department under OPCIT. It is planned that the individual will be an experienced IBM mainframe developer/support analyst. The internal system is known as NTPA and is a IBM mainframe based and houses the core settlement platform. It is a mission critical application and requires support 24x5 on-site. The Support Analyst will perform all levels of Support including batch job monitoring and failure resolution, resolving user queries, production bug fixing and providing ad hoc report extracts.
Requirements
- A degree in IT or related discipline - Knowledge of financial markets preferably - Minimum 5 years of IT Experience - At least 3 years of IBM mainframe, Familiarity with CICS, DB2 SQL, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, MQ - Ability to read batch job abend via abend-aid and/or system dump - Experience with supporting production systems running in different timezones - Possess securities Industry experience - Possess strong inter-personal skills and is comfortable communicating with IT peers and users in London and US locations - Keen to learn & adjust to new projects and roles - Sensitive to firm procedures and controls - Willing to execute from the most mundane to the most challenging tasks to enhance teamsdepartments delivery - Powerbuilder Skills - Full project development cycle for mainframe based applications - proven track record of systems developed and implemented - Delivery and budget focused / Client focused & sensitive to client needs - Analytical and logical thinker that can cater for fluid requirements - Exp in PL/1 will be an advantage. - Knowledge of Focus reporting - SLA Management
