Engineer, SDS (6mths - 1 yr contract)

Job Description:
* To provide 2nd line system and service support for all Managed Systems and day to day service provisioning
for all Hosted Systems
* Required to provide engineering support in project implementation and commissioning
* Expected to be on 24 by 7 standby as a level 2 or 3 technical support for infrastructure and services,
troubleshoot and rectify any customer’s issues, as well as perform quarterly enhancement maintenance to
existing network components
* To establish and maintain overall efficiency of the server environment, actively manage and lead
infrastructure project implementations
* Provide standby support after office hours to ensure smooth operations
* As an ISO9001 and BS7799 organisation, you are expected to be familiar with this process and procedures
* To perform your day-to-day operation within this framework
Job Requirements:
* Degree in Information technology or equivalent professional qualification with 2-3 years of relevant
technical experience in a service provider environment
* Preferably certified in Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MSCE) or Cisco Certified Network Administrator
(CCNA)
* Possess understanding of IP/ATM/Ethernet technology and with basic programming knowledge
* Able to work independently and able to be pro-active in anticipating and resolving problems in the work
environment
* Supervisory skill preferred
