Responsibilities

The main responsibility is to provide development and production support for a number of critical Operations IT applications. Initially this will be for the PIMS application. This application provides an inventory management function. It also provides stock loan recommendation and return recommendation information to front office applications based on rules contained in the application. Rehypothecation return analysis is also done in the application.

Going forward there will be involvement in developing and changing applications in the LDO and billing suites. This will be as a member of a highly skilled and proactive team handling MCE change and project work of all sizes from the very large to the very small. There will be liaison with business experts and project managers in the business locations but the development team will be providing support to the business areas where ever they are on the globe.

Requirements

- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Candidate with microsoft certification will be an added advantage
- 4-6 years of development and support experience
- Knowledge and experience in using VB 6 / SQL Server 2000 & 2005
- DTS package development & analysis
- C# .Net v2.0  (2005) & later versions
- ASP.Net 2.0 & later versions
- MS Office Professional 2003 Suite
- Developing and maintaining web-services
- XML
- Windows NT / XP Professional
- ORACLE 10g 
- Full project lifecycle experience
- Some understanding of banking/derivative products will be preferred
- Confident, assertive and effective communicator
- A Team player and Can do attitude
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Documentation skills
- Ability to deal with people from various levels of technical and business expertise
